HOW TO MAKE TOMATO KETCHUP

One of the easiest ways of making use of your tomatoes is to make a homemade ketchup,its quick easy and has a rich fruity taste,you can even spice it up by adding chilli.

Please be aware that I say in the film add 60grams of sugar when listing ingredients  and later in the film when telling you when to add say 600!!!!, Sorry me trying to multitask and cook diner at same time, its 60

It will keep for 3 months in fridge but i tend to use mine in a couple of weeks of opening so best to store in smaller jars

 

• 1kg ripe toms,seeds removed roughly chopped
• 1 carrot, chopped
• 1 small onion, chopped
• 1 celery stick, chopped
• good pinch ground cloves
• 1 large bay leaf
• 1 teaspoon ground mace
• 1 tsp sea salt
• 1 tsp black peppercorns
• 1 tsp whole allspice
• 150ml red wine vinegar
• 60g light soft brown sugar
