Whether you grow them as French beans, Haricot ,Flageolet or Borlotti all these beans are started in the same way but with such a diverse range of sizes and tastes there is bound to be one that fits in with your growing system
With beans they do benefit from companion planting and Summer savory is a fantastic herb to grow with then and also a perfect culinary companion

Hi Mark, thank you for all your informative videos. Have been watching the tomato video when seeds get too leggy. I have grown my tomatoes and have potted them up once into 3 inch pots they are now about 8 inches tall but bottom leaves all dropping off. Should I pot them up again covering up some of the stem think its probably too hot on the window ledge. Thanks for your help. Jules
Hi Jules
You can pot them up again but tomatoes loosing their bottom leaves is not unusual. The deeper you plant tomatoes the more root growth you create which gives you stronger plants, remembering to add perlite to your growing mix as tomatoes really like lots of air in the soil they are growing in.
Kind regards
Mark
