It can be the smallest things that sparks a life long interest. I came across a book as a child that fired my imagination and helped me understand that lots of the plants I saw every day had been collected by plant hunters. One of these was a man called Frank Kingdon Ward and this is a brief film as to how that chance reading of his book led to me standing on a volcano in Ecuador.
