  1. Do dwarf French beans need any support at all once I plant them out on a raised bed?

  2. I tried growing dwarf French beans, I sowed about 20 and only 1 germinated ! I have tried again in a heated propagator, not in a propagator and used different seed compost. Each time only 1 or 2 grew, I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong ?? How much water do you give them ?? And how often do you water the seeds after you have down them ?? Thanks for any help

    1. Hi Adrian

The two commonest problems would be the viability of your seed and that could be how the seed was stored or looked after before you acquired it. You could check the use by date on the packet as sometimes outlets keep seed from year to year. Secondly, it could be that you are over watering. I water once when the seeds are sown and not again until the seeds have germinated unless the compost is very dry.

      Kind regards

      Mark
