How to sow Courgette and Squash

This film covers when to sow Cougette, which are also called Zucchini  Squash and Pumpkins and why sowing to early leads to weaker less productive plants.
These are the varieties that over the years I have found have the best taste and store well

Courgette Rugosa Friulana

Courgette Tondo di Piacenza Emilia Romagna  Round courgette can be stuffed and baked

Winter squash

Sweet Dumpling   small can be baked whole has taste similar to sweet potato

Blue kuri and Red Kuri Small medium stores well nice nutty taste

Marina di Chioggia  Medium to large

Musquee de Provence  Large stores well

Once there ready to plant out a great space saving way is

Courgettes on your compost heap or they are fantastic in

No Dig Bale Bed

Squash, Pumpkins, Courgettes and their germination

The fail-safe way to start off Squash, Pumpkins, Courgettes and Cucumbers and the best tastiest varieties for both summer eating and winter storage, from the small Sweet Dumpling as big as your hand to the large Musquee de Provence, the Potimarron Rouge Tres Hatif d’Etampes with its divine chestnut flavour all are better than the ubiquitous butternut!

I recommend you try Summer Crookneck much more flavor than the average Courgette.
