NO DIG STRAW BALE RAISED BED CONSTRUCTION

The title is far more complicated than the construction!!
One of the quickest and most effective ways of creating a new productive vegetable bed is by combining the techniques of No-Dig growing and the use of Straw or Hay bales. This film explains how and why i find this such a great way to add growing beds quickly and get the bed productively producing fresh vegetables the shortest time.

Its so easy to build and within 40minuites i was planting Courgettes,Summer Squash and Winter Squash in this new No-Dig Raised bed

  1. I love your videos, they are so simple and such good ideas. I don’t think I will have room this year for a raised bale bed but will definitely try it next year. Thank you!

  2. Hi Mark, just wondered if the straw bale raised bed would be suitable for perennials. I would like to plant some asparagus in our new allotment which at the moment is very overgrown and will need clearing first, but I believe will have poor sandy soil. Thanks.
